Charlie Patino has left Arsenal to join Spanish side Deportivo La Coruna.
Patino is out of Mikel Arteta’s plans and is in the final year of his contract at Arsenal. Having spent the last two seasons on loan at Blackpool and Swansea City.
Arsenal have confirmed that Patino has joined Deportivo La Coruna on a four-year deal. With The Ufabet reporting a fee of £1m, with the Gunners including a sell-on clause.
The 20-year-old, who has been at Arsenal since the age of nine, said goodbye to the London club: “Firstly, I would like to thank you for all the wonderful memories I have had at this historic club. It has been an honour to represent Arsenal both on and off the pitch.”
“I was lucky enough to make my dream come true and I will always be grateful. Thank you to the fans, my teammates, the coaches and everyone involved with the club.”
As for Deportivo La Coruna, which was Patino’s favorite team as a child. They were promoted ยูฟ่าเบท to the Segunda Division this season but lost both of their games and have no points.
Patino spent time on loan last season with Swansea City in the Championship, making 35 appearances, scoring four goals and providing four assists.
In a statement, Arsenal thanked the academy gradate for his contribution to the club during his time with them and wished him well for his move.
